Dr. J. Patrick Waring and Dr. Randy J. Yanda of Digestive Healthcare of Georgia were recently honored as Top Doctors by Atlanta magazine. DHG, with 19 physicians and seven locations, offers a full range of gastroenterology services and the newest treatments available.
Dr. Yanda also carries the distinction as a National Top Doctor from Castle Connolly. This distinction “aim(s) to identify the top 1 percent of specialists and sub-specialists” in the United States, according to Castle Connolly.
Dr. Waring’s Atlanta magazine recognition was his first. Dr. Yanda has been recognized as a Top Doctor numerous times since 1999. “Dr. Waring and I would like to thank Atlanta magazine for this honor,” said Dr. Yanda. “We are extremely grateful for the recognition.”
For its annual Top Doctors issue, published each July, Atlanta magazine uses a database compiled by the established healthcare research firm Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. to assist in its efforts. This year, the publication honored 623 physicians. Doctors are nominated for consideration through both a nationwide survey and a peer nomination process open to licensed physicians in Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry and Rockdale counties. Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers then select the Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes an evaluation of educational and professional experience.
